Diablo 4's maintenance window is still ongoing, wrapping up in a few hours, but as we speculated, a big ol' patch has been deployed in-game that follows through on the promised changes discussed two weeks ago.
After a slew of hotfixes, we're finally getting the first, proper post-launch update for Diablo 4 that's packed full of class balance changes, bug fixes, and increases in terms of loot and rewards. We've had two Diablo 4 maintenance windows over the past two days one yesterday, and one this afternoon – which tipped us off to the upcoming patch.
The Diablo 4 patch notes for Tuesday, June 27 are 'chonky' as promised by Blizzard devs and tick off a lot of what was discussed in a dev Campfire Chat a couple of weeks ago. The words 'significant' and 'substantial' are being bandied around in terms of the increased XP for completing Nightmare Dungeons, killing monsters in Nightmare Dungeons, for opening Helltide chests, and completing individual Whispers across the board.
