The Dirty Dancing sequel will begin production later this year.
It was previously revealed the movie was in the works, with Jennifer Grey set to reprise her role as Frances 'Baby' Houseman in the long-awaited follow-up to the 1987 classic movie and now the project is moving forward after Lionsgate announced producers Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson will oversee the film, with Dying for Sex writer Kim Rosenstock penning the script.
