Dolphins five-eighth Kodi Nikorima was given his NRL debut by Wayne Bennett eight years ago but the incentive to excel for the coach has not worn thin.

"With his aura, you want to perform. You don't want to let him down," Nikorima said ahead of Sunday's clash with the Gold Coast at Suncorp Stadium.
