Since Manchester United signed Donny van de Beek from Ajax in the summer of 2020, the Dutch midfielder has struggled to make an impact at Old Trafford.
Above all, the 24-year-old has encountered problems when it comes to getting on the pitch and being presented with opportunities to showcase his quality. Throughout his 18 months in Manchester, Van De Beek has started just four Premier League matches.
He's featured in a further 23 league games as a substitute over that period but ultimately, Bruno Fernandes is the player who has restricted his usage due to his hold over United's no.10 spot.
