Mitya used to spend his days skating through the streets and gaming with friends in his Ukrainian hometown of Bucha in Kyiv Oblast. Little could he imagine that the roads he tore up with his skateboard would soon be torn apart by war.
“I used to love sport very much,” Mitya told The London Standard through a translator, adding that he was passionate about creating YouTube videos, showcasing his skating talents online and enjoying the things any twentysomething would.
