BENGALURU: Samit Dravid, the elder son of former Indian skipper and head coach Rahul Dravid, was on Saturday drafted into the India under-19 squad for the upcoming multi-format series against Australia U-19.

The 18-year-old batter and medium pacer made the cut on the strength of his showing in the Cooch Behar and Vinoo Mankad Trophy. Samit is one of four players from Karnataka in the squad, the others being Hardik Raj, Karthikeya KP and Samarth Nagaraj.
