The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) has issued a reminder to any motorists over the age of 70.
Pensioners are being warned they need to renew their licence every three years. The law requires drivers to have a valid licence or face a £1,000 fine.
The DVLA says motorists should use their renewal system online to avoid any delays. It has also warned that middle man companies are trying to rip people off with middle man services.
