The DVLA has issued another update on its processing times due to a high volume of enquiries.
The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency states the online services are working as normal and without delay and so is the quickest, easiest, and often cheapest way to deal with them. But, as wait times could take a while, you may still be able to drive while your application is being processed.
In its latest update in April, the DVLA confirmed that if you have applied online, applications are already being processed, however, as a result of ongoing covid safety measures and the impact of previous industrial action by members of the Public and Commercial Services union, there are ongoing delays with processing paper applications.
