New figures suggest the number of tech star-ups in the East Midlands rose by more than a third last year compared to the year before.
Companies House data put together by audit, tax and consulting firm RSM UK suggests 1,390 tech businesses were incorporated in the region in 2022 – up from 1,009 in 2021.
According to the stats it was the biggest percentage rise for any UK region – though London, the East of England, the North West, South East and the West Midlands all had substantially more tech firms incorporated there overall.
