EastEnders have revealed a first look at the upcoming flashback episode as Peggy Mitchell makes her return.
The BBC soap has filmed a special one-off episode to explore the Mitchell family's roots, with Jaime Winstone stepping to play the iconic Peggy Mitchell, played by the late Dame Barbara Windsor. The episode will see the return of some of the family's most well known characters as viewers are transported back to the cold winters of 1979.
The episode's air date has also been confirmed as viewers find out much more about the Mitchells and their past - but will the truth of DCI Keeble’s vendetta against the Mitchell family finally be revealed?
