FOUND: Emergency services scrambled after sheep gets head stuck in fence | Mind Blowing Facts

A sheep has had quite the day out in Salford today — after getting stuck in a fence and needing to be rescued by emergency services.

The stricken sheep was spotted on Crossfield Road, in Irlam, this morning (July 23) by a member of the public. They then flagged down a police community support officer (PCSO) to try and free the mixed-up mutton.

After some efforts from PCSO Mark Hutton, the lamb was freed. He has now raised the issue with a local councillor to remedy the problem.

Tweeting a photo of the wedged woollen, Greater Manchester Police’s Salford division told the tale of how the PCSO had an unusual morning. They said: “This morning, PCSO Mark Hutton was flagged down to report a trapped sheep on Crossfield Road, with some assistance the sheep was set free, Mark has flagged the issue up with [Coun Mishal Saeed] during a meeting on the Mossvale estate to discuss local issues.”

The force also tweeted a photo of the pair after the incident.
