For centuries, white-tailed eagles were part of England’s landscape. Then persecution drove them out, leaving the country without its largest bird of prey for generations. Now, almost a quarter of a century after the species disappeared from English skies, a carefully managed reintroduction is beginning to reshape that story, states an online report by Forestry England.
