The proposed HS2 station at Euston is to be “future-proofed” for a possible expansion that would enable more trains to run on the long-awaited high-speed line.
Rail minister Lord Hendy revealed in December 2024 that there would only be six platforms at the new £5bn HS2 station at Euston, enabling up to 10 trains an hour to run between central London and Birmingham.
