Updated on July 6, 2026: Updated the tier list with more precise rankings.
The best Evomon usually depends on individual power but also your team composition. That’s why I’ll rank them according to the individual power of all their forms as well as how well they fit into end-game teams. Here’s my Evomon tier list and best teams guide.

Best Evomons Tier List
Below you’ll find a list of individual ranking reasons for each Evomon. For this Evomon tier list, I’m going to be using the base form pictures for easier recognition and clarity but note that I’m ranking them based on both their base and final evolution forms. Here’s what each tier means:
- S-Tier : Best late-game EVOs for Raids, World Bosses and Tower.
- A-Tier : Great alternatives with some late-game gamemode fall off.
- B-Tier : Either great beginner Evomons or situationally powerful depending on the team.
- C-Tier : Decent early-to-mid game but don’t invest too much.
- D-Tier : Weak Evomons both in terms of individual power and in a team.
S-Tier Evomons
| Evomon | Ranking & Notes |
|---|---|
![]() Arcub/Arcapex Element: Electric |
• Some of the best DPS and fleshes out elemental interactions for your team • Get it from the Thunder Cliffs boss |
![]() Lavite/Lavarock Element: Fire, Rock |
• The best Fire type that’s really easy to get at the third island Lava Crag • Great combo potential and the counter is really strong • You want one in your end-game team |
![]() Wispuff/Wisphex Element: Poison, Psychic |
• The best Poison type • Part of many late-game teams • Great for grinding |
![]() Bluebird/Volcrest Element: Flying, Electric |
• Bluebird into Volcrest is an amazing fill for coverage and the Bleed debuff for DPS • Easy way to grind them and the quest for them is at Raven Ridge if you go up the vines around the area to a sky spot where they spawn • Just note that you don’t have many Elemental interactions to exploit |
![]() Tarro/Tarragon Element: Grass, Dragon |
• The best Grass type • One of if not the best tanks in the late-game • A must-have IMO for late game teams |
![]() Pummpaw/Pummash Element: Fighting |
• The best F2P Fighting type and overall Evomon • Pummpaw and Pummash have crazy good speed for alpha striking • Alpha/First strike is crazy good, especially when farming • Get the base from the top part of the Dusk Town map |
A-Tier Evomons
| Evomon | Ranking & Notes |
|---|---|
![]() Frostlet/Frostseer Element: Ice |
• Really strong due to final EVO Frostseer’s Frostbite stacking damage • Great against a lot of crucial fights in the late-game • Hail is a great combo move in the right team |
![]() Datubud/Datunymph Element: Grass, Psychic |
• Datubud is a great beginner Evomon • Tons of great Psychic/debuff moves • Get it on the fourth island |
![]() Chitmite/Chitaladin Element: Bug, Poison |
• Unlike other A-Tiers Chitmite is a bit weak early which is why I put him in the A-Tier • That said, Chitaladin is a great pick for your end-game gamemode teams |
![]() Astraknight (Exclusive) Element: Fighting |
• Astraknight is strong, especially if you get him early but it’s for Robux so take it with a grain of salt • I don’t think it’s a worthwhile spend for Robux but maybe you want the other goodies from the premium pass (note that you’ll farm them anyway) • If you want a free Fighting type just go for Pummpaw |
![]() Gulpfish/Mirefish Element: Water, Ground |
• An extremely underrated Evomon and the best Water option since Mirefish EVO has excellent stats and is great for all modes |
![]() Mudbud/Thordlord Element: Ground, Grass |
• Amazing beginner Evomon • Get it together with Datubud on the fourth island for a strong addition to your early team • Falls off a bit for late-game though |
B-Tier Evomons
| Evomon | Ranking & Notes |
|---|---|
![]() Sparkit/Emfox Element: Fire |
• Sparkit is a pretty great though slightly weaker Fire alternative to Lavite • It’s also a good reason to not take the Fire starter since you can get Sparkit early on the third island • So if you want a good Fire early and are planning to go for Sparkit, take the Grass or Water starter |
![]() Pebble/Pebgolem Element: Rock |
• Amazing for early game and a good tank in the mid-game • But falls off in the end-game where Tarro and its EVO form become the better tank |
![]() Vipip/Viparch Element: Poison |
• Decent Poison type for DPS |
![]() Fluffet/Fluffastar Element: Rock |
• Another great early-game Evomon for grinding |
Graycrene/SundercreneElement: |
• A great mid-game option for a Flying type to flesh out your elemental interactions • It’s also a quick 2-Stage EVO so there’s not a ton of investment • That said, only invest if you really like the moveset and need a Flying type |
C-Tier Evomons
| Evomon | Ranking & Notes |
|---|---|
![]() Glaclide/Glacitadel Element: Ice |
• Quite a decent early-to-mid game pick since the last form has great HP and damage for those stages of the game • Frostlet is a better Ice Evomon in the end-game clears |
![]() Blazpup/Blazmane Element: Fire |
• The best starter if you’re not going for Sparkit • If you are going to level Sparkit then pick other starters |
![]() Gempillar/Gempress Element: Bug |
• Decent Evomon but it doesn’t combo that well with any team • Weaker Bug than Chitmite but much stronger than Humding |
![]() Starloop/Starmuse Element: Psychic |
• A decent Evomon for Psychic exploits • Note that Datubud is also a secondary Psychic and overall a better Evomon |
![]() Stardrift/Frostelle Element: Grass, Ice |
• Tarro and Datubud are much better Grass types • Datubud is better early • Still, Stardrift isn’t bad for the mid-game if you like the moveset |
![]() Mopebun/Mopillow Element: Normal |
• They’re okay since you get them early but they’re not worth investing and don’t have juicy elemental exploits |
![]() Bubble/Bubblade Element: Water |
• Great starter option if you’re going to level Sparkit/Lavite for your Fire type so you can skip Blazpup • Otherwise Blazpup is a bit better for early game Fire exploits against Grass and Bug |
![]() Spikub/Spikumane Element: Ground |
• Mudbud is a much stronger Ground type but Spikub isn’t bad early game as well |
![]() Chirrpy/Chirphantom Element: |
• A decent early-game alternative to Sundercrene and Volcrest for your Flying type |
D-Tier Evomons
These Evomons are quite weak individually and don’t really fit into any team. I don’t recommend investing into them. That said, you can still use them to exploit elemental interactions early, they just won’t be as effective later and don’t scale well.
Best Starters in Evomon
The best starter in Evomon is Blazpup since it has great moves to exploit early game elemental weaknesses and some % HP Burn for later fights. However, you can also get Sparkit or Lavite really early on the third island Lava Crag which are both really strong Fire types so you don’t really need Blazpup. Just pick any of the other two starters with my preference being Water over Grass.
Best Evomon Teams
The best teams in Evomon try to cover as many elemental strengths (See below) as possible and have as few weaknesses as possible. You also want a good mix of stacking, counters, tanking and DPS. Here are some quick-builds of the best Evomon Teams for various purposes:
