UNCOVERED: Falcons hold on to beat bears 27 24 | History Defined

ATLANTA — The Falcons’ special teams came through with two big plays to help them defeat the Bears 27-24 on Sunday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Younghoe Koo made a 53-yard field goal to put the Falcons up with 1:47 left, and Cordarrelle Patterson jump-started the turnaround from a 10-point deficit with a record-breaking 103-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the second quarter.

The Falcons’ defense, which had given up an 8-minute, 32-second touchdown drive on its previous series, needed a stop to secure the victory after Koo’s field goal.
