By just over a two-to-one margin, Fayette County Clerk Susan Lamb has been elected to a full four-year term. Lamb, who served for years on the Lexington City Council, was appointed ten months ago when Don Blevins announced his retirement. She defeated Dawne Perkins in the countywide race. Lamb said she inherited a marvelous team of workers in the Clerk’s office. She’s been surprised at how her enthusiasm has grown.
“What I didn’t know is how much my passion for carrying out this very important role in Fayette County was gonna grow to be embedded in my heart and mind as much as it has. I absolutely love this work,” said Lamb.
