The theme for this year’s International Women’s Day is Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow. As per unwomen.org, the year is pivotal for achieving gender equality in the context of climate change, environmental and disaster risk reduction, which are some of the greatest global challenges of the twenty-first century.
Without gender equality today, a sustainable future, and an equal future remains beyond our reach. On 8th March 2022, the world will be celebrating IWD, and this year is dedicated to recognition of the women of all ages and stage coming together to lead in resolving issues of climate change and to encourage their leadership and contribution towards making difference. The idea is to honour together diversity, equality and collectively breaking the biased stereotypes and discrimination. Be a part of this movement by being accountable for your own thoughts and actions all day, every day. Cross your arm to show solidarity towards International Women’s Day, strike the IWD 2022 pose and share your #BreakTheBias image, video, reels presentation, or articles on social media using #IWD2022.
