A man in his 50s, and his dog, have been resuced by fire fighters after a small kitchen fire. However, fire fighters said they would have been at the scene sooner if it were not for badly parked cars.
The home on Ashgrove Road, in Bedminster, was attended by two fire engines around 1pm, on Saturday (July 2). The fire was started accidentally on the ground floor of a terraced home.
No one was injured and the flames were put out quickly. However, a car parked on the corner of Ashgrove Road made the street difficult to pass, costing the emergency response team valuable minutes.
