Accuweather storm chaser Aaron Jayjack described the situation, stating, 'I can feel it rising on my legs right here as I’m talking … I can feel the water is still coming up.' The impact of the storm surge following Hurricane Milton's landfall has been particularly severe in Punta Gorda.
