Campaigners have been left horrified after they declared a “beautiful” river that flows through the town “ecologically dead” thanks to human waste and sewage.
The River Lim flows through the seaside town of Lyme Regis and historically had trout, eels, invertebrates and even Kingfishers live and access its waters.
But thanks to human waste and sewage leaking into the scenic river, it has caused a harmful impact on the river’s ecosystem and caused a “brown layer” within the river.
