French President Emmanuel Macron described Friday’s drive-by shooting in the western suburb of Trappes as a “terrorist and racist attack”, saying it marks a turning point for France. One person was killed and at least four people, including a 12-year-old girl, were wounded in the shooting, apparently at random. Two of the victims have immigrant backgrounds.
