Gogglebox star George Baggs - himself a famous singleton - is releasing a tongue-in-cheek Christmas single after new research highlights solo sleepers are more likely to draw the short straw when it comes to festive sleeping arrangements.
Research by the UK's biggest hotel company, Premier Inn, shows one in three people (31%) will be asked to give up their bedroom to make way for visiting relatives this Christmas - with single people being asked to make way for relatives more than most.
For those visiting relatives over the festive period almost half (48%) have slept somewhere other than a bed, with the sofa, blow-up bed and the floor being the most common options.
