A frustrated Tom Slingsby has lamented the worst conditions of any Sydney SailGP after heavyweights Australia missed the podium for the first time in the regatta's history.

The USA won their first SailGP event since October 2023 on Sydney Harbour, where the fleet rarely reached speeds above 25km/h in the unusually light easterlies.
