However, Johnson later issued a statement asserting his belief that 'a man cannot become a woman.' This comes amidst a resolution proposed by Rep. Nancy Mace, R-S.C., aiming to restrict the use of single-sex facilities in the Capitol and House office buildings based on biological sex.
