MUMBAI: Over the past decade, many Mumbai batters have scored a century on Test debut. Adding to that list was Yashasvi Jaiswal at Windsor Park in Roseau, Dominica. Jaiswal is now the fourth cricketer from the cricket-mad city to achieve this special feat after Rohit Sharma, Prithvi Shaw and Shreyas Iyer.
Seeing Jaiswal notch up a Test hundred on debut took Rajasthan Royals' high performance coach Zubin Bharucha to the day he saw a tall, scrawny teenager bat for the first time at the RR trials. Bharucha immediately picked him up at the IPL 2020 auction.
