Amazon's Prime Video is the home of hit shows like "The Boys," "The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power" and "Invincible". Despite these hits and goodwill with fans, the service riled some feathers back when the previously ad-free streaming service announced it would be switching to a new ad-supported model for all existing subscribers, with a new, higher-priced option available for those who wanted to remain ad-free.
Currently, Prime Video, when included with an Amazon Prime subscription, is priced at $14.99 per month ($139 per year). Those who aren't Amazon Prime members can also subscribe to a video-only standalone service for $9 per month.
