Los Angeles City Fire Chief Kristin Crowley provided an update on the Hurst fire reach, stating that the blaze has now spread to 771 acres. This increase in acreage is attributed to more accurate mapping techniques that have been employed to track the fire's progression.
Despite the expansion of the fire, there is some positive news as well. Chief Crowley mentioned that the blaze is now 37% contained, indicating progress in the firefighting efforts to bring the situation under control.
