InZOI from developer Krafton is a new life simulation game that was released into Early Access on March 28, 2025. It's a massive launch for casual gamers, as it looks to be one of the biggest Sims 4 competitors right now, having reached the top of the Steam charts in only a few hours of its launch. However, following the months since we first got our hands on the game, there have been some updates. And, there's certainly some information that you should keep in mind before you dive in and create your own characters or "Zois."
Developed in Unreal Engine 5, inZOI has more realistic graphics than The Sims' signature style, with highly detailed character models that promise to be expressive thanks to new AI technology. As a sandbox experience, you also have plenty of tools to play around with when it comes to customization, and since its initial gameplay reveal last year, we've also learnt of its pretty hefty PC requirements. Still, even though we've lots of exciting games like The Sims in the works - such as the indie project Paralives - inZOI is still the talk of the town.
