  • Iran's supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, has vowed to “take revenge” for those killed in the country's war with the United States, including his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
  • Mr Khamenei said that Iran would seek compensation for all inflicted damage, blood money for martyrs, and compensation for the wounded.
  • The 56-year-old leader was reportedly wounded in the same strike that killed his father 40 days ago and has not been seen publicly since.
  • Despite speculation about his condition, Iranian officials maintain that Mr Khamenei is in “full health” and “in control of everything”.
  • Mr Khamenei also indicated that Iran would usher in a “new phase” for the management of the vital Strait of Hormuz.
