NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the Mahakal Corridor in Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh on October 11 with much fanfare. However, it is being alleged that the corridor has been constructed on encroached land.
The Mahakal Corridor, officially called the ‘Shri Mahakal Lok’ by the Madhya Pradesh government, has come up at the famous Mahakal Temple, one of the 12 Jyotirlings in India. It is being compared with the inauguration of the Kashi Vishwanath Dham Corridor in Varanasi by the prime minister on December 13 last year.
