Viewers of ITV's Britain Get Singing have named Emmerdale their "real winners", after an impressive rendition of Merry Christmas Everyone. The soap stars took to the stage in front of judges Will I Am, Adam Lambert, Alisha Dixon and Jason Manford, in aid of charity Get Britain Talking.
Tonight's show was all about getting people to open up about their mental health and the show's winners certainly did this. Loose Women, whose performance was crowned the winner, laid bare the devastation of grief and loneliness, with their performance of Bridge Over Troubled Water.
But the Emmerdale cast provided some much needed light relief shortly afterwards, with Lisa Riley even adding an impromptu rap verse that had Will I Am ask her if she would like to join the Black Eyed Peas. Midway through the performance, Lisa stopped and rapped: "This competition is hot, yo. Emmerdale is the house, drop the mic for soap."
