ITV viewers were excited as Eamonn Holmes returned to the channel after he reignited his feud with Phillip Schofield.
This Morning was rocked over the weekend after Phil confirmed he was stepping away from the show after 20 years amid speculation his working relationship with co-host Holly Willoughby had become strained. Eamonn worked on This Morning between 2006 and 2021 and hosted the show alongside his wife Ruth Langsford.
The Northern Irish broadcaster has been vocal about the rumours between Phil and Holly as he dubbed the two "actors". The 63-year-old took to Twitter in the aftermath of Phil's exit and claimed it had been a "good day", which fans were convinced was a reference to the announcement.
