Waterford man Jim Goodwin will remain Aberdeen manager for the time being.
The Irishman had looked certain for the sack after West of Scotland junior side Darvel dumped the Dons out the Scottish Cup at the fourth round stage on Monday night.
Since the World Cup break Goodwin’s men have picked up only one win in the their last nine games and dropped further behind Hearts in the race for third place in the Premiership.
