It was a punch delivered in Atlanta on Sunday and felt all the way in Washington, smooth and fluid, like one of Sugar Ray Robinson’s left hooks or Muhammad Ali’s left jabs. With one word — actually, one name: Natalie — Sen. Jon Ossoff stunned the Trump White House with a blow they didn’t see coming and caused the rest of the country to talk about what they had just witnessed.
“So [Trump] doesn’t want to do this job,” Ossoff, who is running for reelection in Georgia, said at a campaign event on Sunday. “He wants to build his ballroom and travel with Natalie on their apparently defenseless flying palace gifted by the Emir of Qatar.”
