REVEALED: Kate and william honour commonwealth soldiers in signed note | Vintage Vibes

  • The Princess of Wales honoured Commonwealth soldiers by laying a wreath at the Cenotaph in London to mark Anzac Day.
  • The solemn ceremony commemorated the 1915 Gallipoli landing of Australian and New Zealand troops during the First World War.
  • The Princess placed a wreath, signed by Catherine and William, at the national war memorial, which read: 'In memory of the Australian and New Zealand soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom'.
  • The Princess Royal also attended a dawn service at Wellington Arch at Hyde Park Corner, laying a wreath and participating in the commemoration.
  • Anzac Day services were held across New Zealand, Australia, on the Gallipoli peninsula in Turkey, and in Villers-Bretonneux, France.
