Kochi: Tourism activities in Kochi always revolve around a few heritage structures in Fort Kochi and Mattancherry and the shopping in malls in the city. The tourism potential of landscapes, serene waterbodies, and heritage buildings, just a few kilometres away from the hustle and bustle of the city, remain untapped in Ernakulam.
To unlock the tourism potential of such areas the Mulanthuruthy block panchayat is planning a tourism circuit connecting six panchayats under the Destination Challenge project of the tourism department.
