In brightest day, in blackest night, no property shall escape DC Studios’ sight. Following Superman and Supergirl hitting theaters, plus Creature Commandos and Peacemaker Season 2 on TV, the James Gunn-led DCU continues with HBO’s Lanterns.
Forget about previous on-screen Green Lanterns. We’re starting from scratch here and getting new takes on both Hal Jordan and John Stewart from the beginning, after Nathan Fillion’s Guy Gardner already showed up in Superman and Peacemaker. The DCU’s Chapter One: Gods and Monsters introduces a universe where ‘metahumans’ and all sorts of aliens and entities are already established, but that doesn’t mean everyone is skipping their early steps, and it seems this will be Stewart’s show first and foremost.
