Liverpool have been warned by one of their former players not to make a “panic” transfer for Sofyan Amrabat.
The Reds continue to be linked with a move for the Fiorentina midfielder, after rumours first emerged last year. The 26-year-old impressed with Morocco at the World Cup in Qatar, causing the rumours to ramp up.
Since his involvement in the tournament, Amrabat has been heavily linked with a number of clubs, including Liverpool. The likes of Atletico Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur have also been credited with an interest in the player.

Now former Liverpool midfielder Don Hutchinson has issued a warning to his old club about the idea of signing Amrabat. Hutchinson made 60 appearances for the Reds during the 1990s.
The ex-midfielder has urged Liverpool not to panic when it comes to signing a new midfielder this month. Hutchinson went on to express a concern about the prospect of signing Amrabat.
“They have to make sure they don’t panic [in the transfer market],” Hutchison told ESPN.
“I have seen Amrabat at the World Cup. He had a brilliant World Cup for Morocco. He hasn’t been that good for Fiorentina for 18 months, so you can’t just panic and look at these players and think ‘that’s the one I need’.
“Make sure you get the right one.”
