During an interview on SiriusXM's The Jess Cagle Show, Gage revealed that filming for Smile 2 was so intense that he experienced physical illness on set.
Gage expressed his reluctance to give away spoilers but assured fans that if they enjoyed the first movie, they would love the sequel. Describing the filming experience as genuinely terrifying, he recounted a moment where the gore and intensity of a scene caused him to become sick to his stomach, leading to him vomiting off-camera.
