NAGPUR: The Jyotiba Phule Farm loan waiver scheme, cleared by the state cabinet on Wednesday, already had the provision of Rs 50,000 incentive for prompt repayment. The current government is just taking it forward. Under the current situation, activists had expected it to come up with a decision on compensating flood losses.
Rameshwar Nanote at Nimbara village in Akola says he has been repaying loans promptly since the last three years. As he looks forward for the incentive amount, Rameshwar says he hopes to continue the trend this year too.
