Erebus Motorsport saw its Bathurst 1000 plans plunged into disarray during the Auckland SuperSprint when Brown's car was all but destroyed in a monster Race 2 crash.

Given the car needed to be flown back to Australia, there was significant doubt over whether it could be repaired in time for the Bathurst 1000.
