HISTORICAL FACTS: Man 83 who died alongside his dog in prestwick lorry crash named - Caught on Camera

A man and his dog who were both killed in a tragic lorry crash have been named by police.

John Ward, 83, also known as Jack, died at the scene with his dog Benji after they were struck by a lorry in Prestwick.

Emergency services raced to the scene in Ayr Road, at the junction with Pleasantfield Road on Friday, September 9 around 9.25am.
