A man has died after being struck by a car near Wigan.
Emergency services were scrambled to Liverpool Road, in Haydock, just after 4pm this afternoon (Saturday January 28). It followed a collision between a black Toyota Alphard car and a pedestrian.
The pedestrian - a man in his 60s - was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car stopped at the scene and is helping police with enquiries.
