A man was found dead on train tracks close to Huyton station.
British Transport Police said officers attended at around 10.29pm on Thursday, July 21 to reports of a body on the tracks. Paramedics also rushed to the tracks to provide treatment but a man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The force confirmed the death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner.

A spokesperson from British Transport Police said: "British Transport Police were called to the line near Huyton at 10.29pm yesterday evening (21 July) following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
"Paramedics also attended and sadly a man was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
Yesterday it was confirmed that another person died after being hit by a train between Wigan North Western and Preston. A National Rail spokesperson said emergency services arrived at the scene, since 4.39am on Thursday, July 21. Officers are now investigating the circumstances surrounding their death.
A spokesperson for the force said: "British Transport Police were called to the line near Wigan at 3.34am today (21 July) following reports of a casualty on the tracks. Paramedics also attended and sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers are currently working to identify the full circumstances behind their death."
