That’ll do from me. David Hytner has filed his match report from the One Call Stadium.
A word on Max Dowman, who was making his first senior appearance since November after recovering from injury. The 16-year-old seemed to enjoy operating in a free role, with Noni Madueke taking up a wide position outside him. He perhaps should have scored in the first half when fed by Leandro Trossard but created plenty for himself with his poise on the ball. He looks a natural fit among his senior teammates.
