Loki has disappeared from several Marvel Rivals modes ahead of Season 10, but NetEase stopped short of removing him from the part of the game where the stakes are highest.

The Strategist is currently unavailable in Quick Play, Arcade, Practice vs. AI, and 18v18, while remaining selectable in Competitive and the game's social hubs, according to Insider Gaming's September 8 report. Insider Gaming's Loki report That distinction turns what looks like a seasonal marketing stunt into a more interesting example of where Marvel Rivals draws the line between storytelling and competitive balance.
