YOU WONT BELIEVE: Mavs celtics post sixth straight nba wins - You Need To See This

Australian swingman Josh Green's Dallas Mavericks boast the NBA's equal-longest winning streak, level with league leaders Boston, after a 116-93 triumph over San Antonio.

Star pair Kyrie Irving (34 points, nine rebounds) and Luke Doncic (27, nine) steered the Mavs to a sixth consecutive victory on Thursday (AEDT) after they trailed their Texas rivals by seven points at the end of the opening period.

Dallas led by five points at half-time and dominated the second half, coasting to a comfortable win as Doncic posted his 11th triple-double of the season.

No.1 draft pick Victor Wembanyama top-scored with 26 points for the struggling Spurs (11-44), who sit bottom of the Western Conference.

Sydney-born Green contributed eight points for Dallas - all during the first half - on 3-of-4 shooting.

The Mavs' six-game winning streak is matched by Boston, who crushed the Brooklyn Nets 136-86 to give Joe Mazzulla his 100th victory as head coach.

Payton Pritchard (28 points), Derrick White (27) and Jayson Tatum (20) shone for the Celtics as they posted their fifth 50-point win in team history.

In Cleveland, All-Star Donovan Mitchell scored 30 points, including the go-ahead free throw with 44 seconds left, as the Cavaliers overcame a 17-point deficit to beat Chicago 108-105.

The Cavs (36-17) sit second in the Eastern Conference behind Boston (43-12).

Paolo Banchero (36 points) and Franz Wagner (21) steered Orlando to a 118-100 win over the injury-hit New York Knicks.

Australian veteran Joe Ingles had six points, five assists and two rebounds for the Magic.

New York were without six players, including All-Star forward Julius Randle, who missed a ninth game with a shoulder injury.

Brandon Miller (26 points) and Tre Mann (21) were the stars as the Charlotte Hornets won their season-high third straight game with a 122-99 victory over the Atlanta Hawks.

It was the Hornets' first double-digit win of the season.
