Mel Gibson has apologised after a viral video appeared to show him mocking an American Sign Language interpreter during his appearance at FAN EXPO Canada.

The 70-year-old actor and director was filmed making exaggerated hand gestures behind the interpreter as he walked onto the stage for a question-and-answer session in Toronto.
