Met Eireann has revealed when we might see the return of rain, thunder and floods.
The weather service has released a detailed week by week forecast for the month of June, explaining when high pressure will "weaken its grip" on Ireland. They stated that for week one (June 5-June 11) high pressure will continue to dominate, with "settled conditions" and "well below average rainfall."
They also said: "Potential hazards will include the potential for increased drought conditions, and elevated fire risk and the potential for a high temperature warning in the southwest." However, for week two (Monday, June 12 to Sunday, June 18), high pressure will "weaken its grip".
