Justice Minister Pol Lt Gen Rutthapon Naowarat denied claims that the government had used a Department of Special Investigation (DSI) probe to pressure People's Party MP Pawoot Pongvitayapanu into softening his stance on the TH-AI Passport project.
Speaking at Government House on Tuesday, Pol Lt Gen Rutthapon said the DSI had issued summonses to more than 20 people last week, including Mr Pawoot, a People's Party list MP, in connection with an investigation into an alleged illegal forex investment scheme. Those summoned are expected to meet investigators next week to give statements.
